“As we read, write, speak, listen, and OBSERVE – we call this conversation art linguistics.”

Building Cultural Legacies and Advancing Social Impact through Art Collections, Education, and Philanthropy
A partnership founded by an art historian and a brand strategist, Art Linguistics identifies purpose and meaning in collecting and giving within arts and culture — whether for private collectors or institutions invested in cultural sustainability. Grounded in historical research and strategic inquiry, we believe in sustaining relationships that shape purposeful narratives between collectors, institutions, and their evolving view of the world — past, present, and future.
As art linguists, we view collections not as an endgame, but as active strategies — where the act of collecting itself becomes a passionate and joyful pursuit. We seek to deepen our knowledge and understanding of the world as we read, write, listen, speak, and observe art — always grounded in careful evidence and thoughtful insight.
We approach connections and collaborations with humility, curiosity, and fairness — fostering a sense of community built on shared learning and dialogue. Through art, education, and philanthropy, we aim to build lasting cultural legacies that empower future generations and sustain the collective pursuit of meaning.

FACETED WOMEN IN THE ARTS #FWITA
Faceted Women in the Arts initiative aims to provide a platform for women artists to share their stories and perspectives through compelling exhibitions and thought-provoking public projects. By fostering meaningful discourse, this initiative seeks to reshape narratives and challenge societal perceptions of women in the arts.

AN INAUGURAL PRESENTATION OF “FACETED WOMEN IN THE ARTS” INITIATIVE
What Doesn’t Kill You is more than just an art exhibition—it’s a powerful testament to resilience, transformation, and the unbreakable spirit of women in the arts.
Art Linguistics presented What Doesn’t Kill You: Recent Works by Hélène Le Chatelier and Sunaina Bhalla as the inaugural exhibition in our Faceted Women in the Arts initiative, in celebration of International Women’s Day 2025.
Curated by art historian Dr Michelle Lim, What Doesn’t Kill You showcased new works by Le Chatelier and Bhalla that included embroidered drawings made with medical sutures, photo-based works, sound, and site-specific installations. The artists explored the themes of strength, courage and resilience in this exhibition.
